I've been really appreciating light lime yellow green and used it in this piece. (I have that color in my pastels and I wanted to mix and use it in acrylic.) Color palettes can be so powerful especially when consciously directed! I am an intuitive color person and I'm learning to be more deliberate with my choices. Usually there is a color that really snaps in a painting and I feel that I achieved that in this piece with the yellow green and the almost peachy pinks.
When I look at this painting I remember the warm sunny days spent painting at the waterlily pond.
